Aurélie Mascio, PhD

Coaching | Leadership | Behavioural Science | Mindfulness

I help people in demanding roles think more clearly, deepen their self-awareness and work sustainably under pressure. My approach is informed by cognitive-behavioural psychology and shaped by two decades of experience across finance, public service, and research in AI and mental health. This is not motivational coaching. It is structured, evidence-informed work that helps people understand the patterns behind how they think and behave, and change them in practical ways.

About

I’ve spent two decades working across investment banking, academia and the UK government. I began my career on trading floors in Paris and London before gradually transitioning into AI research and public sector innovation. While banking was intellectually demanding, I became increasingly interested in the human side of performance: how people think, make decisions and operate under uncertainty. This led me to return to academia, undertaking postgraduate training in Neuroscience and Psychology, followed by a PhD at the Maudsley Hospital in London, where I spent three years researching the application of AI to mental health.Beyond the research itself, working in specialist psychiatric settings with patients and clinical teams was particularly formative. It reinforced my interest in behavioural insight and how people navigate complexity and pressure. After completing my doctoral work, I joined the UK civil service, working on applied AI and research initiatives. Throughout the different stages of my career, I consistently saw capable professionals navigating complexity with little space for effective self-management.This gradually led me towards coaching. Today, my work brings together analytical rigour, psychology-informed approaches and first-hand experience of high-responsibility environments. I support high-functioning individuals in navigating complex professional and personal demands. We work together on strengthening resilience and decision-making in practical, sustainable ways.Alongside my professional work, I am a certified yoga and mindfulness instructor, an enthusiastic hiker, an occasional digital artist, and a devoted dog lover.
